Editorial policy

Hälsokontroll is a guide and comparison service – not a healthcare provider. We describe what different blood test markers measure, what health checks cost and which test suits whom. The actual sampling, analysis and medical assessment are carried out by Labkollen and their accredited laboratories. This page describes how the content is produced, which sources we use, how we correct mistakes and how we earn money.

Who is the responsible publisher?

Mathias Khemiri, board member of Oftamed Sverige AB and responsible publisher at Oftamed Sverige AB (reg. no. 559416-8477), is responsible for the site's content and publication. Questions, feedback and corrections are sent to info@labkollen.se. Full company details are on the contact page.

How do we choose sources?

  • Medical claims are primarily based on Swedish authority and healthcare sources: 1177 Vårdguiden, the National Board of Health and Welfare, the National Food Agency and the Public Health Agency.
  • When an international reference is needed, we use WHO or an equivalent established source of knowledge.
  • Information about accreditation and supervision is taken from Swedac, Equalis and IVO.
  • Every marker and guide page has a visible source block at the bottom. The same sources are given as citation in the page's structured data, so search engines and AI services can verify the basis.
  • We never link to a source we haven't checked, and we never invent names, titles, studies or figures.

How is the content medically reviewed?

Labkollen is a registered healthcare provider with IVO. Test results from the health checks we refer to are assessed and commented on by a licensed doctor at Labkollen. The content on this site is general information about what the markers measure – it is not an individual medical assessment and does not replace contact with healthcare. We do not publish the names of individual doctors until we have public, verifiable evidence for it.

What in-house data and methods do we use?

The price statistics on the comparison page are calculated by us from the current product catalogue: median, min and max for price, price per marker and the difference between the regular one-off price and the subscription price. The test guide's recommendations are based on a deterministic scoring model – no language model and no randomness – where your answers about age, sex, goals and risk factors are weighed against each test's marker content. The model filters out tests that aren't relevant for the given sex and recommends senior-adapted packages only from age 65.

How do we correct mistakes and update pages?

Every page shows the date of its last update, and the same date is given as dateModified in structured data. Prices and marker content are checked against Labkollen's product pages. If you find an error, contact us and we'll correct it and update the date on the page.

How do we make money?

Hälsokontroll is run by Oftamed Sverige AB, the same company that runs Labkollen. Links to tests go to labkollen.se and are tagged with tracking parameters. We therefore have a commercial interest in you ordering there. That doesn't affect how markers are described or which prices are shown: prices are taken unchanged from the catalogue, the regular one-off price is always shown first, and the lower price is always labelled as a subscription price for an annual health check – never as a limited-time offer.
